A timeless journey among nature, art, and wine in the heart of Valpolicella.
In the middle of the vineyard on the hills of Negrar, an area always devoted to the vine growing, in 1783 Count Antonio Rizzardi commissioned the architect Luigi Trezza to design a garden, by blending together the spectacular and formal Itlaian tradition and the romantic and informal landscaped garden style.

In 2026, Giardino di Pojega is open from 28 March to 8 November, from 10 am to 6 pm, with last admission at 5 pm. Standard admission costs €10 and reduced admission €7. Family tickets and a season pass are also available. Before visiting, please check the website for any closure dates. Check current opening hours and prices
Giardino di Pojega is an 18th-century masterpiece designed by architect Luigi Trezza for the Rizzardi family. It is one of the last examples of an Italian formal garden, where geometry, perspectives and green rooms meet elements of the romantic garden. Its most distinctive features include the Green Theatre, the Secret Garden and the Belvedere, overlooking the vineyards of Valpolicella.
Allow at least one hour for a self-guided visit. If you would like to listen to all the audio guide content or spend more time in the different areas, you can allow longer. Scheduled guided tours last approximately one hour.
Yes. Giardino di Pojega is located on the Guerrieri Rizzardi estate, and your visit can be complemented by a guided tasting of Valpolicella wines, including Amarone and Ripasso. The Wine Shop, housed within 17th-century rustic buildings, serves as the entrance to the Garden and is located next to the historic Villa Rizzardi.
Open daily from April to the end of October, it offers the opportunity to taste Valpolicella wines and the entire Guerrieri Rizzardi collection.
